Launch of the ChromoEdge Book Edge Printer
Matti launches the ChromoEdge. The revolutionary book edge printer prints 4,000 books per hour. This without operator intervention, such as placing or clamping books. The books are taken over inline from 3-side trimmers or feeders. Result: 40x higher productivity and reduction of delivery times from several weeks to 3-5 days.
Industrial Solution for Increased Demand
The volume of books with printed edges is increasing dramatically. Until now, however, industrial solutions were lacking in the market – production was predominantly manual and in small batches.
With ChromoEdge, Matti Technology AG presents the first industrial solution for book edge printing. The system processes up to 4,000 books per hour and reduces personnel requirements by a factor of 4.5 compared to conventional methods. At the same time, output increases by a factor of 9.
Shorter Lead Times, Greater Planning Reliability
A key advantage lies in the acceleration of production processes: lead times previously ranging from 3 to 5 weeks are reduced to 5 days. This enables publishers and print service providers to respond much more flexibly to market requirements.
ChromoEdge is aimed at book producers who want to manufacture high volumes economically. The technology combines industrial throughput with the quality required for high-end book production.
